To set up personalised follow-up throughout the seasons, the Talent University offers the best G.Os and G.Es the possibility of enhancing or extending their skills through training, or by taking on new functions to progress towards more responsibilities.

Skills evaluation

In more concrete terms, job prospects at Club Med depend on end-of-season evaluations when the manager reviews the professional skills and the commitment of G.Os and G.Es. Depending on performance, some will be able to go further and move on from a G.O or G.E position to that of activity manager, department manager and, why not, village manager (100% of our village managers benefit from in-house promotion)

Tailored training programmes

The mission of the Talent University is mainly expressed through training courses, structured for a given professional branch, and designed through skills identified as indispensable for each job level in that branch. These skills are organised around 3 areas: the profession, the behaviour or attitude and management depending on the job level in questions. Development of Talent at Club Med has been padded out since 2008 with qualifying training courses.

The Talent Campus

At the heart of our HR strategy is the Talent University. Every year in November, one of our villages turns into a Campus and 2,000 employees from different countries and professions receive training as well as personal and managerial techniques. Here in Asia Pacific, the Talent University has crafted a specific training event called “Academy Weeks”. This two-week seminar is held quarterly and is made to empower GOs and GEs across all professions and all management levels. Since 2012, Campus and Academy Weeks have hosted more than 150 training sessions in Asia Pacific, guiding GOs and GEs in their career advancement through technical, managerial and personal skills improvement.

Genuine development prospects

Training courses included in these itineraries are organised into development levels (taking up of the position, refreshing and preparation of progress) and show a real progress between each module. These itineraries thus allow each G.O or G.E, according to their potential, to project and see themselves in possible development perspectives and which training courses could prepare them.
